Spill Speak

SPILL SPEAK is a space for audio reflections, writing, and conversations around SPILL Festival events.

Here you will find BRAINSTORMING – a pre and post-show decompression space for the audience – that bridges the gap between an artwork and the public, through audio materials collected during the Festival: post-show opinions, impressions and artists’ interviews.

You will also find SPILL STINGS – commissioned critical writing on the festival, by writers Theron Schmidt, Mary Paterson, Johanna Linsley and Madeleine Hodge. Their responses will be posted here throughout the festival – before, during, and after.  As writers, they are interested in the way that this work gets under our skin: the sting of it, and its itch.  This writing, then, is a kind of scratching….

And VIRAL VOICES is the place to find writings, recording and materials that haven’t been curated or commissioned by SPILL, but that are making comment on the festival and so are part of the bigger picture.
